Between 23 November – 1 December 2025, a Romanian delegation composed of representatives of companies from Iași and Craiova, university professors and experts from the business and academic sectors is taking part in the Afaceri.ro Trade Mission to Indonesia, a strategic initiative dedicated to stimulating trade and institutional relations between Romania and Indonesia. The mission is organised by Arhipelago, through the Afaceri.ro program, in partnership with the Embassy of Romania in Jakarta, LivIt Hub Bali and other relevant Romanian and Indonesian organisations from the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

A key moment of the mission took place on 24 November 2025, in Jakarta, when Arhipelago, represented by its Director Mr Marius ALEXA, organiser of the mission and coordinator of the Romanian delegation, signed a cooperation agreement with Mr Yakin Adhi Negoro, President of PT Global Entrepreneur Network (GEN) – an Indonesian business incubator and platform for facilitating international business expansion. The agreement aims to establish a formal framework of collaboration between the business communities of the two countries, with a focus on developing joint projects, know-how transfer, market access and supporting internationalisation initiatives.

On 24 November, the Romanian delegation also took part in an extensive B2B meetings and networking session with Indonesian companies, organised at the headquarters of the Embassy of Romania in Jakarta, in collaboration with the biznIDs platform. The mechanisms for accessing the Indonesian market, sector-specific opportunities and concrete ways of developing commercial partnerships were presented. The Romanian delegation included, among others, Nefatec SRL, Top Experience SRL, Medianet SRL, ICONIC Cluster, the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași and the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Institute of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași.

Among the Indonesian organisations present were Global Entrepreneur Network (GEN) – a market-entry and business incubation facilitator, ANDAF Corporation – consulting and business enabler, Asia Digital Academy – an educational institution focused on training and international mobility, Imajin PR & Research – specialists in strategic communication and public relations, PT Infonet Mitra Sejati – a key player in the IT and consumer electronics industry, as well as Murzal Solutions, an integrated provider of legal and business services for regional expansion. Other represented organisations included Lynk Media Group (integrated marketing and branding), Taland Thermal (industrial equipment), University of Indonesia and Jakarta Veteran University, alongside Asa Kreasi Interasia, a company specialising in events and creative solutions. Their presence facilitated a well-grounded dialogue on bilateral cooperation opportunities and created concrete premises for new commercial and institutional partnerships between Romania and Indonesia.

“Every discussion we had here reminded me that opportunities grow wherever people truly listen to each other. Indonesia and Romania share more potential than we imagined, and this mission is only the first step toward shaping that potential into real projects and long-term cooperation.”, declared Mr. Marius Alexa, Director of Arhipelago & Coordinator of the Afaceri.ro Delegation.

The mission programme continues in the coming days with study visits and economic dialogue sessions in Yogyakarta and Bali, including meetings with local entrepreneurs, innovation hubs and business communities, as well as strategic training modules inspired by the principles of Sun Tzu, adapted to the contemporary entrepreneurial context. Furthermore, on 1 December 2025, the event Romania–Bali Business & Community Dialogue will take place at LivIt Hub Sanur, dedicated to celebrating Romania’s National Day and strengthening ties between the Romanian and Indonesian business communities.

This mission represents an important step in building sustainable economic bridges and positioning Romanian companies in one of the most dynamic markets in Southeast Asia, providing the necessary framework for identifying strategic partnerships, exchanging expertise and developing joint projects with long-term impact.
