Arhipelago achieved a significant milestone during the Afaceri.ro Thailand 2023 Economic Mission, successfully organizing a high-level meeting between the Romanian delegation and Thai officials. The event, meticulously planned and strategically executed, took place from October 8-12, 2023, in collaboration with the Romanian-Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Romanian Embassy in Thailand.
The primary goal of the meeting was to explore opportunities for economic and investment cooperation between Romania and Thailand. The Romanian delegation, composed of leaders from various business sectors, engaged in constructive discussions with Thai government representatives and business leaders, including Ms. Nalinee Taveesin, Thailand Trade Representative, and Mr. Chakkri Chamikorn, co-founder of the Romanian-Thai Chamber of Commerce.
Key topics of discussion included investment opportunities in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) project and Romania’s access to new markets in Asia. Thai officials emphasized their interest in attracting Romanian investments, particularly in technology, healthcare, and smart home solutions. In turn, the Romanian delegation highlighted the country’s expertise in IT, industrial production, and medical equipment, proposing collaborations that could enhance technology transfer and knowledge exchange between the two nations.
A significant highlight of the event was the Romanian-Thai Chamber of Commerce’s commitment to organizing reciprocal visits and future bilateral meetings to strengthen economic relations. Additionally, Ms. Nalinee Taveesin invited the Romanian representatives to participate in strategic initiatives supporting regional economic development.
