Arhipelago’s CEO, Mr. Marius Alexa, successfully represented Romania at the prestigious “2024 EU-India Matchmaking Event: Bridging Continents in Innovation and Collaboration,” held from November 19-21, 2024, in Bangalore.
The event, organized under the auspices of the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), brought together thought leaders, cluster representatives, innovation experts, and economic actors from Europe and India. Its primary goal was to promote international collaboration, foster innovation, and develop strategic partnerships.
During his visit to India, Mr. Marius Alexa held important meetings with numerous IT companies interested in collaborating with Romanian firms, exploring partnership opportunities in areas such as software development, outsourcing, and advanced technological solutions. These discussions pave the way for joint projects that support knowledge transfer and enhance competitiveness in international markets.
A highlight of the participation was the meeting with Priyank Kharge, the Minister of Information Technology and Biotechnology for the state of Karnataka, who oversees the technology industry in Bengaluru—known as the “Silicon Valley of India”—and across the entire country. During this meeting, strategic collaboration directions between Romania and India were discussed, emphasizing opportunities for innovation and bilateral investments in the IT sector.
“The discussions with Indian companies and Minister Priyank Kharge highlighted the enormous potential for cooperation between our technological ecosystems. It is clear that Romania can become a strategic partner for India in developing IT solutions and digital innovations,” stated Mr. Marius Alexa.
Participation in this event and the bilateral meetings underscore Arhipelago’s commitment to supporting the internationalization of Romanian companies, facilitating international partnerships, and promoting Romania as a hub for innovation and collaboration.
